Finally i have time to write about my Invisalign progress!
90% of my friends around me asked me what is Invisalign .
This is gonna be a LONG post because I have a lot things couldn't wait to share with you all ~
Invisalign is just like Braces ,
BUT in a total transparent way !
I'm gonna explain a little bit here,
don't worry I'm on my way to record a video to explain your doubts & questions on my next Invisalign progress :D
The difference of Braces & Invisalign
Step 1)
Talk to an Invisalign Provider
Treatment begins after you select the experienced Invisalign-trained Provider that you feel most comfortable with and schedule your initial consultation. Because you will be interacting with this doctor on a regular basis, you may even want to personally meet with a few providers before deciding which one is right for you. This is an important medical and financial decision. That's why choosing the right doctor and the right treatment plan is so essential. Keep in mind that not all dentists and orthodontists work with Invisalign, so it's important to find a doctor who has received the proper Invisalign training and can truly evaluate your needs and determine how Invisalign can help you.
During the consultation, you and your doctor will discuss your case in detail to determine if you're a good candidate for Invisalign. Invisalign now addresses many cases, from simple to more complex. Your doctor will determine if Invisalign is right for you.
Step 2 :
A Customized Treatment Plan is Created for You
Your doctor will take x-rays, pictures and impressions of your teeth, which Invisalign will use to create a digital 3-D image of them. From these images your doctor will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth, and tell you the approximate length of treatment. Using the same technology your doctor will be able to show you a virtual representation of how your teeth will move with each stage of treatment. While every case is unique to each patient, treatment typically takes approximately a year for adults. For teens the length of treatments is comparable to that of braces.
I heard a lot people saying while applying this mold is kinda disgusting , but for me I think is fine lol
and Dr tiew put the mold and press it on my teeth for around 3 minutes .

It'll send to Invisalign company at USA and analyse my teeth .
Roughly two weeks time my dentist will call me and double check my plan & a short video about the movement of my teeth & the end of the result after the treatment.
YES
I CAN SEE THE END OF THE RESULT OF MY TEETH BEFORE I START THE TREATMENT !
HOW AWESOME IS THAT !
I CAN EVEN REQUEST TO CHANGE IF IM NOT HAPPY WITH THE END OF THE RESULT !
you can request and 'design' your teeth totally by your own decision.

After 2 weeks & my invisalign plan is here!
and yeap! That's my crocked teeth at the right .

we call it as 'bubbles' as well sometimes.
So why are attachments needed?
Over the past 13 years, Align Technology, the makers of Invisalign, have learned that some tooth movements would not occur with just the plastic aligner pushing on the teeth. Through research and development and their teams of engineers, they have designed “attachments” that are placed on the teeth in a strategic position and with a specific design to move that tooth in the direction that was treatment planned by the doctor.
These “attachments” are placed using a tooth colored composite resin, similar to what is used to place traditional braces on the teeth. These are removed at the end of the aligner therapy very easily with a polishing tool and no damage is done to the teeth.
Are they really necessary?
To obtain the desired results in the final positions of the teeth, strategically placed attachments are necessary. Without certain types of attachments, the results from the Invisalign aligners would not be ideal. Most patients want the best results from their orthodontic treatment and understand that attachments are much less invasive than traditional braces and wires.

Finally now is my scariest part, extraction .
but my dentist Dr Tiew did a really awesome job! He extract my 3 teethes just in a blink !
even after the painkiller over I don't feel pain at all.
SO
here I proudly present my lovely cute teethes .
Due to a bit scary so I blur out the canal & draw some cute emotions on it. lol
Trust me, I'm ok. hahahaha!
Another big advantage is a significant decrease in the level of discomfort. The aligners are made to move your teeth about .25mm every 2 weeks. This small amount of movement is significant in getting the teeth aligned and the bite corrected, but is small enough to cause minimal to zero discomfort.
